Costa Rica’s Central Valley is a magnificent opportunity for tourists to enjoy a variety of natural and cultural attractions, including the best collection of museums in the country. The region is also home to the National Theater, an architectural jewel.
Located just two hours or less from the city center, visitors can observe a different kind of art in the natural wonders on display in the Central Valley’s national parks: Braulio Carrillo, Poás, Irazú and Turrialba, which protect some of the region’s largest volcanoes.
